About your tutor
I'm Arthur Akaev and I’m thrilled to welcome you to VocalTutor.nlI am a qualified music teacher and classically trained tenor with a strong background in both performing and music education. I hold a degree in Music Education for primary and secondary schools from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Voice from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Pedagogy and Voice from the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory.My experience as a performer includes classical music, opera, pop, and jazz, in both solo and ensemble settings. I was a finalist on Holland’s Got Talent and a participant in Aria 2025. These experiences have given me valuable insight into performance preparation, vocal expression, stage presence, and the confidence needed to share music with an audience.I truly believe that every singer has a unique voice, personality, and musical potential. My teaching style is all about adapting to your individual needs, interests, and goals, making sure that each lesson is both encouraging and enjoyable.Whether you are learning to sing for the first time, preparing for an audition, working towards a performance, or hoping to develop your voice further, I am here to support and guide you throughout your journey. In our lessons, we do not just work on vocal technique—we also explore breath support, musicality, interpretation, expression, and the emotional story behind every song.With experience teaching individual and group lessons in schools and music academies, I enjoy creating a safe and creative environment where students can grow at their own pace. We can work with classical, opera, pop, and jazz repertoire, while also building the musical confidence to perform for others.I am thrilled to embark on this musical adventure together. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced singer, I am here to help you discover, develop, and share your own voice!
